Why We Built This Site
Virginia records access depends on both the record and its custodian. The Northampton County Sheriff's Office handles sheriff-created incident and arrest reports and routes requests for Eastern Shore Regional Jail records. The General District Court clerk holds misdemeanor and traffic files, while the Circuit Court clerk maintains felony cases, certified orders, and expungement filings. State repository checks go through the Virginia Department of State Police rather than a county database. This site organizes the verified request steps, official search portals, contact details, and known costs for those separate offices.
